Rebecca
Creative Lead
Rebecca Mason is the founder and Creative Lead of Frinton Performing Arts, bringing over 15 years of experience in teaching and performing to her role. Her passion for the stage began early- at just eight years old- when she appeared in a show at the London Palladium, sparking a lifelong love of the performing arts.
Before launching Frinton Performing Arts, Rebecca led similar sessions in West Essex, working with children and young people to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Since moving to Frinton in 2017, she’s been dedicated to creating a nurturing local space where children can thrive through the arts.
Rebecca holds a Certificate of Higher Education in Primary Education from the University of Greenwich, and her approach to teaching is grounded in child development, wellbeing, and inclusive learning. She is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, first aid trained, and mental health first aid trained, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every child.
A trained singer, Rebecca also holds graded singing qualifications with ABRSM, achieving high Merits and Distinctions, and regularly performs in local pantomimes and musical theatre productions. She has also worked as a Musical Director for various community theatre shows, combining her love of music and storytelling.
At Frinton Performing Arts, Rebecca’s mission is to help every child discover their voice, express themselves freely, and learn the life skills that performing arts so powerfully provide.

Ashleigh
Ashleigh is an experienced performer, choreographer and teacher and her passion for the performing arts began at the age of three. She has achieved both a National Diploma and a BA (Hons) degree in Musical Theatre before continuing her studies at drama school.
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Ashleigh helps students to develop confidence, creativity and a love for performance. Alongside her teaching, she has choreographed and been Musical Director for a range of pantomimes and full-scale musicals, including Singin’ in the Rain, Legally Blonde and Made in Dagenham.
Ashleigh is delighted to be part of the team at Frinton Performing Arts and is passionate about sharing her experience and enthusiasm with the next generation of performers.

Sophie
Sophie is an enthusiastic performer with a love for musical theatre. She has taken part in a variety of amateur productions, including Rock of Ages, Cinderella, Little Shop of Horrors, Alice in Wonderland and The Addams Family.
A talented singer with a natural flair for performance, Sophie has experience in choreographing for shows and also stepped into the role of Director for the first time in 2024 where she was honoured to be a joint winner of the ‘Best Director’ award from the North Essex Theatre Guild for creative vision and commitment to a production.
She is keen to pass on her love of performing and help young performers build their confidence to discover their own passion for the stage.

Tori
Tori is a dedicated class assistant at Frinton Performing Arts, bringing her love of theatre and big energy to every session. A passionate performer, she’s especially fond of pantomime and musical theatre, both on stage and in the audience.
When she’s not helping our little stars shine, you’ll likely find her at the theatre—her favourite show is Haminlton, and she’s a big fan of the bold and brilliant Veronica from Heathers!
